FMS and OVR Team Up on a Limited Edition FCX10 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Crawler
FMS has a limited edition FCX10 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 made together with OVR magazine. It is a 1/10 scale brushless four-wheel-drive crawler with a licensed body, and it is listed as new on the FMS store.
What is new
The truck carries a licensed Toyota LC80 body with a detailed interior that includes a dashboard, steering wheel and driver figure. LED headlights, turn signals and reverse lights are pre-installed and run through a magnetic body interface, and the roof rack holds four KC-style off-road lights. The body uses a quick-release magnetic mount.
Hardware
Power comes from a 3541 1200Kv brushless motor with an SL50A 2-3S ESC and a 25kg waterproof metal-gear servo. The truck has solid front and rear axles, adjustable metal oil shocks, full ball bearings and a two-speed transmission switched from the transmitter. Listed figures include a 321mm wheelbase, 68mm ground clearance, 45 and 38 degree approach and departure angles, and a 20 km/h top speed. FMS describes it as splash-proof.
The truck measures 572 x 251 x 275 mm and rides on 116 x 45 mm tires.
Price and availability
The FMS store lists the truck at $429.99 and shows it as available to order. The RC Car Action feature on the truck is undated, and an official release date was not verified. The edition size was not stated.
What you will need
The truck includes the vehicle, transmitter, a pre-installed receiver and brushless motor, and a manual. You need four AA batteries for the transmitter. The page lists the item as an RTR kit, but for the RS version it also recommends a 2S 7.4V 4400mAh LiPo with an XT60 connector and a charger, sold separately, so check what is in the box before ordering.
