Traxxas Marks 40 Years With a Limited-Edition Anniversary Collection
Traxxas was founded in Texas in 1986 as a family-owned company, and this year marks 40 years since the Ready-to-Run revolution the brand is credited with starting. To mark the anniversary, Traxxas has released a 40th Anniversary Limited Edition collection: six of its longest-running RTR nameplates dressed in an exclusive red, white, and blue anniversary livery, plus two additional anniversary-edition vehicles rounding out the lineup.
What's in the collection
The core of the collection is Traxxas's three best-known nameplates, each offered in both 2WD and 4X4 form: the Slash short course truck, the Rustler stadium truck, and the Stampede monster truck. That's six vehicles total, all built on their existing, well-proven platforms — this isn't a mechanical refresh, it's a cosmetic anniversary treatment on trucks that have anchored Traxxas's lineup for years.
Rounding out the collection are two higher-end anniversary editions: the Maxx monster truck and the DCB M41 Widebody catamaran (an RC boat, not a car, but part of the same anniversary release for collectors who run both).
Retro livery, proven hardware
Every model in the collection keeps its standard specs and electronics — the anniversary edition is about the look, not a mechanical change. Each one gets an exclusive red, white, and blue graphics treatment styled after Traxxas's own racing heritage, making these easy to spot next to a standard-colorway Slash, Rustler, or Stampede.
Because the underlying trucks are unchanged, this is a low-risk way to grab a Traxxas classic if you've been eyeing a Slash, Rustler, or Stampede anyway and want a version that won't look like everyone else's.
Availability
Traxxas says the 40th Anniversary Limited Edition models are available from July 2026 through June 2027 — a full year window, but a limited run all the same, so they won't necessarily stick around at every retailer for that entire stretch. They're sold through Traxxas's own store and hobby retailers that carry Traxxas.
We don't have these specific anniversary-edition SKUs in our tracked pricing data yet — they're new enough that our retailer feeds haven't picked them up. In the meantime, the links below go to Traxxas's site via our affiliate link — since it's a general storefront link rather than a per-product one, you'll land on their homepage and need to search the model name once you're there, but buying anything through it still supports RC Saver at no extra cost to you.
