Team Velocity RC has listed the VL-2 Late Model Kit (part number 00021), which the company describes as its first purpose-built late model kit. It is a 1/10 scale, rear-wheel-drive oval race car aimed at builders who want something easy to assemble and tune.
What is new
The manufacturer says the VL-2 was designed to be easy to build, durable, tunable, and fast. Its rear end uses an adjustable flex design, and the diff height can be adjusted, which gives racers two tuning options on the chassis without swapping major parts.
Hardware
The listing names a ball-bearing-supported aluminum steering assembly, aluminum spindles and rear hubs, and 4mm carbon fiber shock towers. The shocks are small-bore units with machined Delrin pistons and low-friction X-rings, mounted on aluminum standoffs with Delrin pivot balls.
Spring collars are etched with locating marks and can be used with either small-bore or big-bore springs. The product page does not say whether springs are included in the kit.
