Losi's 1/12 NASCAR Line Adds the Ricky Bobby No. 26 Wonder Bread Chevrolet ZL1
Losi has added a movie-inspired livery to its 1/12 scale NASCAR RC lineup: the Ricky Bobby No. 26 Wonder Bread Chevrolet ZL1 (part #LOSF1122626). The red, white, and blue scheme from Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is reimagined on a modern NASCAR Next Gen Chevy body, and Losi calls it a fantasy build asking what it would look like if Ricky Bobby were racing today.
What you get
This is a fully assembled, ready-to-run on-road car. Losi says nothing else is needed except a USB or USB-C power adapter (QC 2.0/3.0, 18W or higher) to charge the battery. The box includes a Spektrum Smart 7.4V 1400mAh 2S hardcase LiPo, a Spektrum S10 Smart G2 Mini 2S USB-C charger, the Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter, and four AA batteries for the radio.
Losi rates the included battery at about 20 minutes of run time, with a recharge taking under an hour.
Hardware
Power comes from a MEGA 380 28T brushed motor and a Spektrum waterproof SLT 2-in-1 25A ESC and receiver, good for 20+ mph. A 25mm fan helps keep the motor cool. Steering uses a Spektrum SX110 waterproof metal-geared servo.
The car is all-wheel drive with a composite chassis, an enclosed drivetrain with metal ring and pinion gears, independent suspension, and oil-filled coil-over shocks. It rides on officially licensed Goodyear Eagle racing slicks mounted on BBS-style rims, and includes a functional front splitter, rear diffuser, and nerf bars. A throttle-limiting switch on the transmitter offers a rookie mode that caps speed at 50 or 75 percent, which is handy for younger or newer drivers.
Losi also offers clear bodies and upgrade parts such as shocks, camber links, and tires if you want to tune it or paint your own scheme.
