Fan RC FRX-2: A Vintage-Styled 1/10 Buggy Kit With Trailing Arm Rear Suspension
Fan RC has begun shipping the FRX-2, a 1/10 scale buggy kit built around a trailing arm rear suspension. Big Squid RC reported the release on October 20, 2026 and noted its vintage styling.
What is new
The FRX-2 pairs a carbon fiber chassis that allows variable battery positions with carbon fiber shock towers and a molded shock tower protector. The trailing arm rear end is the main styling and layout point.
Hardware
Reported hardware includes a ball differential with large slipper pads, TC4 titanium turnbuckles with 4-40 thread, driveshafts with 3/16 inch axles, and 12mm big-bore shocks. Orange rims and bellcranks are part of the look, and an undertray and alloy front hinge brace are included.
Price and availability
The kit is reported as now shipping at about $390. This comes from a single news report, and we could not read a manufacturer or retailer product page to confirm the price or the exact box contents, so check the final price before ordering.
What you will need
The report does not say what electronics or other items are required. As with most kits, plan on supplying your own motor, speed control, servo, radio, battery, tires, and body unless a product page says otherwise.
